SoundCloud Monetization Territories

SoundCloud doesn't monetize worldwide. As of February 2022, SoundCloud only monetizes in these territories: US, CA, GB, IE, FR, NL, BE, ES, AU, NZ, PT, IT, DE, CH, AT, DK, NO, SE, FI

Hitskope distributes only to SoundCloud's monetized territories.

To monetize in additional SoundCloud territories:

  • Make sure the SoundCloud account qualifies for monetization
  • Contact your account executive or support to allowlist the SoundCloud profile you'll use for manual uploads
  • Upload the release manually to individual SoundCloud profiles
    • Manual uploads are automatically set to worldwide availability
  • Claim your manually uploaded tracks for monetization via Deck's Manual Monetization tool

Note:

Multiple accounts can monetize the same ISRC if there are no conflicting territories. For example, one rights holder can claim DE and US while another claims NZ and AU for the same ISRC.

If two rights holders both attempt to claim DE and US — that's not supported. This applies to both supply chain deliveries and manually uploaded tracks.

Allowlisting is separate from monetization. Allowlisting ensures that authorized users — like your affiliated artists — can manually upload content without SoundCloud's content identification system blocking it.
