Why a release appears live on Spotify after you sent a takedown

When you send a takedown to Spotify, the release can still appear live. Spotify keeps a "shell" of the release for track-linking and to preserve playlists as catalogs move.

The track or release won't be searchable. It won't appear on the artist page. You can only access it with the exact URI or URL. Tracks will be grayed out and unplayable.
